Problem Statement
Sabong, Cock-Fighting is the most polular sport in Philippines. S128 was looking for a development team to build on a cloud based platform to enable online betting by thousands of users with live streaming of the matches been implemented on the same site. The project was challenging as the number of users exceeded a few thousands and they needed to submit their bets in a small window of a few seconds.
Krititech Contribution
We developed a platform for them on the Rackspace cloud with PHP and MySQL backend. We made use of Redis database to significantly reduce the load on Mysql. The resulting system could handle over 5000 users bets being places within a span of 12 seconds.
